Hawaiin Quilt

Hi Blogging Buddies
Terri, this is for you. The Hawaiin quilt in the frame. One of these days, I will finish it. It's a gift for our oldest, started it 2 years ago now! Geesh, when I say that, it becomes more imminent to finish it!!
Did everyone have a fine weekend. Nancy is away, so we won't be seeing her handwork for a few days, but since she hopes to get some stitching done inflight, maybe we'll get some great pictures when she returns. We miss you! Be safe.
And Terri's son has surgery tomorrow. Have the right day, Terri?
We'll be praying for you guys, can't wait to hear a good report!
I have a good start on the day, the weeds have been pulled--did you hear the shout?? And we bought plants yesterday, so my work is cut out for me. That puts studio-time on hold, but I think I'll now consider the garden my outdoor studio. What do you think?
Blessings,
Linda

Wow Linda, that is a beautiful quilt! I love the color choices. Can't wait to see it when it is quilted. WV is just now getting out from under the snow (more is supposed to be on the way) It is still a bit chilly for garden work, but I can't wait to get my hands in some dirt!

Hey Cynthia
Thanks for writing.
My DD didn't want the traditional 2-color hawaiin quilt, so we shopped, a wonderful together experience, and she chose the fabrics I used. She then left to spend a year in Hawaii. She's in Ct now, been back stateside for a year, and it's been in the frame for about 10 months. Unfortunately, it's not where I see it everyday, and I forget to work on it. I must finish though, I know she's looking for it!
I did get one side of the garden planted yesterday. Today's not such good gardening weather, yet anyway. Here we garden opposite of how we did it in Ohio.
The taxes also await me-Dread!!!!!
Blessings
Linda

The Hawaiian quilt is beautiful! The colors just pop out and it's such a happy quilt! Yes, Terri's son's surgery is today. I'm sure that everything will go well. He was feeling well yesterday. Being a teenage boy, I'm sure that he'll just be happy it's over with and back hanging out with his friends. Scary thing to happen though.

Oh, Linda! I swear, i just LOVE this quilt! Thanks so much fro bringing it back up for me to gaze at. The funny thing is, this isn't normally what I go for - I love vintage - florals, reds, whatever but something about this beauty just draws me in. It's fabulous!!!!

Ty's surgery was today and he is home and resting comfortably. He's had a frozen bag of peas on his face all day and other than a nose bleed - he's been fine. The swelling is already subsiding. This has been a tough week but we are now on the downhill slope. Thanks for thinking of and praying for us. I'm sure it helped!!!

I am ready to move out of the studio and into the garden as well. We've had a couple of gorgeous days but I know it's not going to last. Be sure and show us pics of your gardening!
